Friday again at last. Where did the week go? And why didn’t it go faster?
It was a very long one for me – late nights and lots of frustration. How did I get through it? Why, by reading blogs of course!
Here’s some of what I saw:
Sofia Leo is moving ahead with her plans for freedom! Jamie had some great great thoughts on gay marriage. Lorre is celebrating her fourth(!) No Divorcesary!
And the inestimable Cayman Thorn gave me a blog of the year award!
Thanks to them, and all of you for giving me great stories to keep my head from falling off this week.
And thanks for the extra sunlight for giving me a few more minutes each day to figure out how to respond to your comments from last week’s poll. And also for revealing how many of you have coffin fetishes. You all, of course, have different ideas about the extra light that we asked about in last weeks poll. Here’s what you said. Makes a belly hungry. About the only thing I like it being late is the midnight snack.
A delicious high piled sandwich, a fresh burrito, those leftovers in the fridge that have been commingling for a week.
I love me a midnight snack. And I’m betting you do too. So that’s this weeks poll.

Glad you made it to Friday with such a good attitude–it’s the only way to survive the week.
Loved that version of “Reaper.” I’m only so-so on the original (sometimes I really like it, sometimes it sounds like a relic), but that captured the creepiness without the cheese.
I have to be careful eating late at night. Not only for the reasons Sofia detailed above (it doesn’t take much for me to become Jabba the Hutt), but also because my treacherous stomach gives me problems if I eat too much too late.
Got home from work one night this week around eleven (no, I work a regular day job), Smak.
Took me til about 1 am to get myself fed and ready for bed.
I try not to skip meals because of a stretch in my past. They’re too significant to me.
Well, look at that! Being last to comment puts you at the top of the heap. Bonus!
I like UndercoverL’s – “Laugh at Aussies because their days are getting shorter.” I’ve been laughing at quite a few Aussie’s these days. There are some funny bloggers in the land down under.

I make my gravy with a mixture of spicy comments and some of my own clever words and pictures… I am that self-absorbed. Can you not tell who did the answer to your poll unless I type my name in at the end? This time I did a comment, and then cut and pasted it in the poll box, but it stopped working and I couldn’t add PMAO at the end.
I’ll match the IP. You should just be able to type in the other box and click Vote.
There’s a limit to how many letters it will take though – I think about 80.
That’s less than Twitter. My cleverositude can not be constrained in such fashion. When I need to do more, I will stick to the comment box. It isn’t all about getting put in the next post. It is all about making you smile.

This Alana is one smooth chica on the vocals. It’s no small thing, throwing down with the Blue Oyster Cult, but she moved it into a beautiful new sound. As for that Michael J flick? I remember seeing it in the theater; all suited up in my two toned leather jacket. I really never did cool very well, come to think of it.
Hmm…lets jsut say you grew into cool, Cayman, and never speak of that movie again.
Though I remember being upset that I couldn’t get out to see it, until I heard that it wasn’t that good.

Speaking of stupid joggers again. This really happened last week. A dad was jogging with his 6-year-olds (assumed age) on the non-existent shoulder of a 35 mph road that is hilly with blind spots at dusk, during evening traffic, when there are BOTH a bike lane AND a sidewalk directly across the street. What the living hell is wrong with people?!!!!!!!!!!!
