Today’s Music: Berlin – No More Words
Another weekend, another Trifextra challenge. This weekend, it’s pretty straightforward.
As they…say:
For the weekend prompt we’re asking for exactly 33 words of dialogue.
So in true “Guapo can’t take these things seriously” fashion, lets dive right in, shall we?

“Hey, are you going to enter this weeks Trifecta?”
“Thinking about it.”
“So what will you write about?”
“I don’t know, but I have to be concise.”
“Why?”
“Because I only have 33– “
And I thank you.
Check out the Trifecta for all the other entries from some truly talented writers!

Nice one!
Thanks MBT!
Brilliant!
Thank you, Deanabo!
*blushes*
Cute.
Thanks Red – it was the only tweak I could think of.
Haha….well done, sir!
Thanks so much, Susan!
Yeah, that’s pretty much my attitude about doing a prompt. I’m almost always unmotivated unless something pops in my head. Which is usually not too serious or is downright silly. Well cooked!
Thanks Lumdog! I’m not sure how healthy it is to get this big a kick out of playing with the Trifecta prompts, but I just can’t seem to help myself!
Yeah. Been trying to cut back. Even been wearing the patch.
True “Guapo can’t take these things seriously” fashion = “Guapo underestimates his writing skill” fashion.
You know, if you keep saying things like that, I’m going to have to work harder at my writing to justify you reading it, Alex.
(And thank you!)
Perfect! No one could do it better!
Thanks wim2s!
I think that’s because everyone else gets their proper medication.
Hehe
You’re too kind Dawn, and thank you!
Thank you so much, memyselfandela!
33 words seems like such a HUGE task until you’re halfway through a sentence and you have to stop.
Yes! The word limit clobbers me way too often, Corinne.
When you’re dealing with a word limit, there is no such thing as cheating.
“No More Words” is a great song–much better than the Top Gun song they’re famous for.
Given what I know about you, though, I’m surprised you haven’t featured (or at least I haven’t seen) anything by Billy and the Boingers. “Middle of the road, man it’s stank, let’s run over Lionel Richie with a tank.”
Smak, if you tell me you have the actual 45 album of Billy and the Boingers, I’ll be amazed and slightly awed.
My girl got me the collected Bloom County, and they’re as good as I remember.
(The signed Lionel Richie pic on the wall behind me is scowling as I write this.)
33 what? 33 what! 33 what?!?
Damn, this one ended too soon. I hate cliff-hangers.
Sorry RoS, but I have no idea.
The inspiration left as soon as it came…
I hate a cliff hanger, dang it…
Normally, I’d agree. But coming from you, I have no idea if that’s a metaphor for something I want no part of, PMAO.
No… even I can’t hang it all the way off a cliff… without looking like I am just showing off…
Wait, was that a dangling participle?
My participles swing, Elyse.
With abandon!
Thirty-three words…that’s a tough limit! I’ll have to try this one some time.
They put up a 33 word challenge every Friday, Bumble.
Mondays is a 33 to 333 prompt.
They’re a lot of fun, and some great writers participate.
Thanks, Guapo. Sounds like fun. I’ll check it out!
Well, you made me laugh, so, well done!
Thanks Addie!
In the end, that’s all I was hoping for.
You must have entered a tunnel.
Story of my life, twin…
Haha. Sorry.
Waay clever!
Thanks rangewriter!
I like your way of not taking things seriously. Made me smile
Thanks Janna.
If only my boss felt the same…
I will sell you a word for Five pounds!
Can I just buy a vowel. GfB?
A pound!
Excellent! The abrupt ending is perfect.
Thank you Tara!
If only they’d given us 34 words…
lmao That is me every time. Which word(s) to cut…
Sometimes I think Trifecta is on the payroll of the contraction industry, Draug419.
funny!
Why, thank you christina!
Well done!
Thank you whitelady!
Clever, El
Thanks Hugger! I got lucky I think.
Now that, my friend, is brilliant! <3
Ha! Thanks Stacy!
(I won’t let that go to my head.)
(Much…)
When I was a teacher I never told the kids how many words their essays had to be….because the last two would always be “The End” even if it meant not completing a sentence. So, your ending went straight to my heart. <3
I was the kid who used “very” over and over to bulk up the count, Stacy.
I knew it!
durned cell tower outages . . . now we’ll NEVER know 33 whats
lol
Why hello there , Barbara!
The cut off was an authors device since he didn’t know what it was 33 of either.
Seconds? Beers? Cheese puffs? Oh… right, Trifecta. Solid Guapo style!
Wait Sandra – go back to that beer and cheeses puffs thing.
Hmm….
Ha ha ha!! That’s hilarious. I love your stick figures, too.
Thanks Trifecta!
I couldn’t find a free image so I had to draw one. It was a multimedia entry!
The sharp, hit-the-wall ending is perfect. Your post is what real humour writing looks like. I tip my touque in your direction. Well done.
Thanks so much, Cobbie – I’m clicking the heels of my chef’s clogs in thanks!
and there I was thinking that was going to be about Fashion!! (well you did say fashion, didn’t you?) Isn’t it time you wrote about fashion, come to think of it? You’ve touched on everything else, Guapo
Egad! I don’t know if I’m smart or an idiot for considering your challenge on fashion, beautiful.
Oh wait, I know…
Ha! You crack me up – again. I love your whimsy, Guapo!
Thanks Christine!
I love that we can write up whatever occurs to us for these.
Check out my blog today for a much-deserved shout-out, buddy!
I saw it, Hook. Thank you!
Hahahahaha!!
(Nicole, pleasebelaughingnearmenotatme, pleasebelaughingnearmenotatme, pleasebelaughingnearmenotatme…)
totallylaughingnearyoumaybejustalittleatyou
I think they should shoot for 33 and 1/3 words…that way partials could be included…I think…ye
That would be great, Rogue!
Then i could claim the entries where I just roll my face across the keyboard actually make sense.
Wow..you do that too? We are truly kindred spirits…or just really drunk most of the time.,.
I say A!
(Even though it’s probably B.)
(Ah well…)
Lemme guess… a kid interrupted the conversation. Again. Lol
Yes, Undercover!
No ice cream for him.
Hmph.
And put him to bed early.
Haha, I love it!!
My ego and I thank you, Asplenia!
hahaHA!! This reminds me of Al Gore when he said, “Verbosity leads to unclear, inarticulate things. LOL! I love when you enter the Trifecta! You always come up with the best stuff!
haha you’re so cute and clever.
I thank you, Becca!
As does my PR department.
You have a natural ability for
these me thinks? Well done
Thanks Poet. Every so often I get lucky enough to make an idea work for one of these challenges.
I need to start calling in a lot more so
that I don’t miss out on your challenges
Have a brilliant evening Guap
and dive right in, you did – perfect word counting tune…
nicely done!!
Ha! I should have gone with The Count from Sesame Street!
(Does he sing, BK?)
Well played, well played! I’d write more, but I have this thing where I…
Thanks Daniel, and I know exactly what you mea-
Hey you, reality doesn’t always bite. Which is my less than clever way of saying, you’ve been nominated.

Thanks so much, Cayman! I’ll be over to check it out.
I can see this as a one-act play off Broadway. Very nice.
Thanks Maddie! How far off Broadway? Like Wisconson?
Hahaha … or right here in cold Ohio would be just fine.
