  1. I don’t know what this is but I will listen to the music and hope it offers some solace for just cutting the tip of my finger off (along with loads of lilacs… they are so beautiful). Boo for that but yay for this on a Monday morning. Ok, I just went over there and figured it out– SO COOL! Will comment when typing is no longer painful.

    • But think how much more beautiful the lilacs will be with that fertilizer!
Hope it’s a shallow cut. I have nicks all over my hands from this weekend’s packing.

      • That’s like an italicized reply to one of your poll answers, mister!
Small nicks and cuts are par for the course in my business but no, unfortunately, this fits into the Deepish and Will Not Stop Bleeding category and has warranted a special trip to Walgreens for gauze (?) and tape (?) and super glue (?) which I hope will work.

        Are you moving?

  2. Great playlist Guap. I *think* I left a comment over on the main post, but I can’t be sure. it’s Monday afterall, and I’m not operating on full brain capacity just yet.

p.s. I am back to NYC next week. Yippee!!

  3. Great choices, Guap. I’m particularly fond of Stevie Ray Vaughn. “Pride and Joy” was always my favorite.

  8. What do I have to do to get a link on your blog, Guap? This would be the awesomesauce on top of my sundae of life. Or something. Oh, and Judah wants to drop you in a jungle of extreme cougars for a reality show – FYI.

There should be a reality contest show of people fighting for the awesomesauce on the sundae of their lives.
Oh wait. That’s Family Feud, isn’t it?

      Um…four legged cougars or two?

  9. Oh my word. You just took me back to the 80’s! I think I need a rum and coke. I need an explanation on the clash video – I know the song well but haven’t really listened to the lyrics properly. What’s the whole American thing happening there?

  10. Oh and one more thing – took my guitar out of storage to sell today – (surfboard fund). After that one video – it’s confirmed – guitar must go…

  11. I was listing to Emerson, Lake and Palmer until my brother bought a Clash album for me. He said if I didn’t change my ways musically he was going to kick my ass.

Eric Clampton is…I hope you’re sitting down…overrated. The best part of Layla are those pounding piano chords.

Poor SRV. Gone but not forgotten. My fried got to see him live. What’s better than that? Not much.

I could never participate in this exercise. My musical taste has always been so uncool.

    Come on inside!
So glad to see some Buffet on your list–your mom liked him too if I remember correctly? Great picks, thanks for playing along!

  15. Bright Side of the Road is a brilliant choice, Guap – one of my all time favourites! Just love Stevie Ray Vaughn as well (and have recently been getting into Tab Benoit) đŸ˜‰

Life In 6 Songs is a great idea! đŸ˜€

    • I like Tab! Are you familiar with Taj Mahal? Saw him once on a bill with Dr John and Van Morrisson. what a show!

The 6 songs is hard! I wrote the list, then didn’t look back, otherwise I’d have wanted to change it. I was amused to see what I’d picked.

      • Yes – very familiar with Taj Mahal! Life without music would be my idea of hell – I just can’t live without it đŸ˜€

That show sounds like it would have been brilliant!

  18. Very interesting. I will give it a shot. Been out of the loop lately, had to put aside the keyboard to keep it all together, but, very interesting. I bookmarked it.
