Looking to enjoy the hell out of myself before real life finally catches up with me…
So far, I’ve managed to ski, surf, skydive, hanglide, kayak, scuba dive and see alot of great live music.
Since I’m married to the most wonderful girl in the world, and I have a decent job, I’m guessing I’m ahead for the moment…
One day I might manage to decide what I want to be if I grow up.
But mostly, I just can’t see the point in growing up…
Hey π glad you stopped by! Interesting blog you have here π .

Maturity is just knowing when to be immature.
That being said, farting at a funeral is still funny. Sometimes not until a little time after.
Who wants to grow up? I still wear a cape and run around in my Aquaman undies. My fiance doesn’t approve though.

A few years ago, before I hobbled myself into a wheelchair I was going to start a Skydive For MS fundraiser for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. I made “interest” surveys that went into our local MS walk gift bags; but that was about as far as I got. I guess logistically it would be hard to land when you can barely walk; but I had always wanted to go skydiving.
Next time you go, maybe you could take a feather or something and throw it out the door for me. My first thought was maybe you could take a rock…cause that’s what I would fall like; but that might be problematic for people on the ground. A feather seems safe. π

Hmmmmmm not JC? Lol he always acted like he was “THE” JC. In fact when he was in Africa “volunteering” (ripping off the charity) he said that he was the first person since Jesus Christ to build a road. But I bet my JC’s road was better than the big guy’s road. Rotflmao Another coincidence I had a cleansing cry also!
Sometimes I think the attitude of society (family/friends) when they hear of the abuse has caused just as many scars as the abuse itself. I watch people’s eyes when I talk about the abuse and most of them get a glazed look and check out, so I don’t discuss it. I don’t know what it is about people that they have to blame the victim. I think its that they are uncomfortable with it, even afraid it could happen to them so they must find a reason to blame the victim. “It could never happen to me because I am not weak/damaged like them”
That’s what I love about blogging; I can tell my story, people don’t have to read it if they don’t want to and I think it gives a safe distance for people who are uncomfortable yet want to know.
I can not count how many times I’ve heard; “you must have like it or you would have left”. “There’s no way a man would ever get away with treating ME that way”. “They target weak women”. Every single one of those statements says, “You are flawed” and only serve to reinforce all the shit the narcissist has been saying.
I used to laugh to myself because my mom and JC hated each other but they were in total agreement; there was something terrible wrong with me.

“You must have liked it…” is probably the most vile justification or explanation ever, ladywithatruck.

Skydiving is def on my bucket list. Have you bungee jumped? Which would you suggest first?
I jumped off the Stratosphere in Las Vegas, so that was “sort of” a bungee jump, but it was all machine controlled, so there wasn’t that jolt and bounce back thing. I bruise easily, so that actually kinda scares me. (There, that’s strange random fact #9745 about me out in the land of the internets.)

I’d say a skydive first – the bungee jump was a lot more uncomfortable, but both were an incredible amount of fun. And not really comparable…
I’ve seen the Stratosphere jump.
That’s also on my list of things to do.
