Looking to enjoy the hell out of myself before real life finally catches up with me…

So far, I’ve managed to ski, surf, skydive, hanglide, kayak, scuba dive and see alot of great live music.

Since I’m married to the most wonderful girl in the world, and I have a decent job, I’m guessing I’m ahead for the moment…

One day I might manage to decide what I want to be if I grow up.
But mostly, I just can’t see the point in growing up…

  1. Hey :D glad you stopped by! Interesting blog you have here :D .

  2. This is fun. I just hit the follow button. I do a lot of music on mine as well, mostly Canadian stuff, kind of patriotic like that.

  3. “One day I might manage to decide what I want to be if I grow up.
But mostly, I just can’t see the point in growing up…” so good, i cried.

  4. Gillian Colbert

Love it! I’ve skydived and taken a formula one racing course. It was awesome!

  5. Maturity is just knowing when to be immature.

That being said, farting at a funeral is still funny. Sometimes not until a little time after.

Who wants to grow up? I still wear a cape and run around in my Aquaman undies. My fiance doesn’t approve though.

  6. pursuitofhappieness

I nominated you for the Versatile Blogger Award :)
It’s been a pleasure reading you and I appreciate all the support you have given me on my blog.

  7. Growing up is overrated. I gave back my Grownup Card.

  8. You’re blogrolled, dude.

  9. You have been nominated for a Versatile Blogger Award. Click here to pick up your prize. Congratulations, and please don’t let it go to your head.

  10. A few years ago, before I hobbled myself into a wheelchair I was going to start a Skydive For MS fundraiser for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. I made “interest” surveys that went into our local MS walk gift bags; but that was about as far as I got. I guess logistically it would be hard to land when you can barely walk; but I had always wanted to go skydiving.

Next time you go, maybe you could take a feather or something and throw it out the door for me. My first thought was maybe you could take a rock…cause that’s what I would fall like; but that might be problematic for people on the ground. A feather seems safe. :)

  11. EG…Thanks for sub, but Baying at the Moon is defunct site…all at Barking in the Dark. see you there. continue..

  12. Thank you so for putting my mug shot on the wall. It is so much better than the one at the post office. Testing what few brain cells are still awake, but I am not recalling your link in my Green Room. Let you in on a secret? When I make the jump, the ones in the Green Room are hitting the roll. It is going to be a new page.

In other news, a large portion of my day is filled with crayons and finger paint, although Bear tries to convince me finger paint is a grown up toy. I had to give up the glue sticks though. My dermatologist decided they really were not a suitable substitute for lip gloss.

  13. I’m doing it anyway…sorry…you don’t have to respond but…I nominated you for the Best Liar award: http://wp.me/p1Cvgh-CN

  14. Hey, I’ve tagged you on this chainmail-sort-of-thing for blogs . Go to my blog to check it out :D :http://rantonit.wordpress.com/2012/02/24/tagged/

  15. Hmmmmmm not JC? Lol he always acted like he was “THE” JC. In fact when he was in Africa “volunteering” (ripping off the charity) he said that he was the first person since Jesus Christ to build a road. But I bet my JC’s road was better than the big guy’s road. Rotflmao Another coincidence I had a cleansing cry also!

Sometimes I think the attitude of society (family/friends) when they hear of the abuse has caused just as many scars as the abuse itself. I watch people’s eyes when I talk about the abuse and most of them get a glazed look and check out, so I don’t discuss it. I don’t know what it is about people that they have to blame the victim. I think its that they are uncomfortable with it, even afraid it could happen to them so they must find a reason to blame the victim. “It could never happen to me because I am not weak/damaged like them”

That’s what I love about blogging; I can tell my story, people don’t have to read it if they don’t want to and I think it gives a safe distance for people who are uncomfortable yet want to know.

I can not count how many times I’ve heard; “you must have like it or you would have left”. “There’s no way a man would ever get away with treating ME that way”. “They target weak women”. Every single one of those statements says, “You are flawed” and only serve to reinforce all the shit the narcissist has been saying.

I used to laugh to myself because my mom and JC hated each other but they were in total agreement; there was something terrible wrong with me.

    • “You must have liked it…” is probably the most vile justification or explanation ever, ladywithatruck.
For what you’re describing, I can’t really think of an way it’s the victims fault.
Keep telling your story. Every bit of light on it helps the rest of the world.

  16. Well said El Guapo, I mean if one is Peter Pan and enjoying life to the maximum then why change just because of age, which is just a number anyway.

I will have to take an expedition through your Space this next week or so, you know sort of meander through with an enthusiastic curiosity, a ghoulish blaze and a wickedness that would shatter even the most poisonous of fangs…

So I will be calling back soon El Guapo but I will leave the Zombie parts out of my ears for the moment and look forward to reading your slant on the open and most ingenious blogosphere…

    Until then :)

    • Welcome, Androgoth.
Looking forward to your observations on this corner of the net.
But keep those zombie parts handy. Just in case… ;)

      • I always keep those Zombies around,
but for once I will leave them on a leash
just in case they take a fancy to anyone
        around these parts :)

Have a good one this evening El Guapo :)

  24. I was going to just make this a post, but it gets a little offensive when you close the video out. I thought you could handle it.

To all my music loving friends:

I saw a commercial with a bit of this song in it.

  25. I never seen long distance snowmobiling as one of your interests. Check out Cain’s Quest for more…http://cainsquest.com/

    • I’ve tried snowmobiling and liked it, but I didn’t like the way the gas fumes hovered, SnB.
Took something away from the experience for me…
Though after checking out that site, perhaps I’ll reconsider…

I don’t know when I would use you, but I’m just wanting to profile some of my favorite bloggers/blogs/writings/etc. Thanks EG.

  34. Comments…on my blog? I didn’t think you went there anymore.

  35. Just so you know…When you read my response to your post about getting an autograph, etc…I listed a requirement or two that you would need to satisfy in order to earn that autograph….the song that I requested that you sing was “zippity-do-dah”..
But what I really wanted to suggest was that you sing “I’ve got a lovely pair of coconuts”, but I didn’t really want to post that on MY blog…so I’ve posted it on YOURS…take that El Guapo!

  41. Skydiving is def on my bucket list. Have you bungee jumped? Which would you suggest first?

I jumped off the Stratosphere in Las Vegas, so that was “sort of” a bungee jump, but it was all machine controlled, so there wasn’t that jolt and bounce back thing. I bruise easily, so that actually kinda scares me. (There, that’s strange random fact #9745 about me out in the land of the internets.)

    Take care, ~ Christy (RoS)

  42. IT’S YOUR TURN!!!!!!!!!!! Found a little something down here in Florida for you………………………….I’m not giving you any clues….forget it….not gonna happen….even if you beg……even if you try to bribe me with chocolate…..even if you offer to sign over the deed to the statue of Liberty to me….even if you threatened to pull off Mr. Potato head’s mustache….not gonna give you ANY clues….

  43. Happy Birthday….Hope it’s a good one….Diane

  44. Thanks for stopping by Malcolm’s Corner and liking ‘Freedom Works’.

    • You’re welcome, Malcolm. I thought it was a very well written argument, that (while I disagreed with it) was free of the rhetoric and shouting that usually goes with it, and was thought out and presented very clearly.
