Today’s Music: KT Tunstall – Suddenly I See
When Trifecta goes topical, they don’t mess around.
The upcoming elections? Nope.
Government shutdown? Uhuh.
They’re channeling Halloween!
And I quote: “You’ve found some old books. On page 3 of one of the books, this illustration appears:
Give us the 33 words that follow this illustration. What happens next?”

How could I resist?
Hoe you enjoy it.
We all knew that face, that mood, that pathos.
The blood curdling shrieks were familiar. The confusion, terror and anger would hover. He wouldn’t be relaxed again until he found his contact lens.
Oh look…..more than your Friday post 🙂 Gotta love zombies but think they are related to the government shut down. 🙂 Oh tomorrow is Sunday……guess that means my favorite pink Himalayan salt time

I hope I can get to it. Family is in town.
I did use some this morning though on my eggs!

Ohhhh a Sunday without the pink? 😦 Okay, will be prepared to make my own meal and use it….will think of you. lol

It’s an exercise in frustration.

I don’t wear contacts, but I’ve seen people turn into crazed man-eating zombies when theirs are lost… so I totally get this. 🙂

And somehow, we make it the entire room’s problem – “NOBODY MOVE!!!”
LikeLike
Yep, and because of my bizarre eyesight glitch, I have a knack for seeing lenses from across the room. So, people who know this about me grab my head and move me around like I’m a metal detector. Except instead of finding gold, I find lenses. That I don’t even get to keep. 😉

Surely the eternal thanks is enough!

Haha, I’m surprisingly cheap… I work for puns, cheese, hugs, and/or diet coke. 🙂 And of course– airfare to the requested destination. 😉

Surprisingly, cheese, hugs and diet coke are often here in abundance.
Puns, we’re overstocked on.

That doesn’t happen to me too often. My problem is more the it-slid-off-my-iris-and-now-I-have-to-chase-it-around-my-eye.

Ah, that feeling is all too familiar. I like your take on the prompt. 🙂

It’s more than a justifiable cause for going nuts and biting people, I’ve always thought.
(Ignore what my parole officer said about it. He’s biased.)

Why are they always biased? They just can’t seem to uphold to their vows of impartiality these days. It’s an absolute shame.

That’s exactly what I’m saying!
Just need to find a judge who agrees… 😀

This made me laugh! Oh, I remember the days of early morning floor-searching for a dropped lens (never mind the muttered cursing that went with it 🙂

Worse is losing it, finding it, and not having solution to clean it.
Adds a creative edge to the cursing.

Heh. Government shutdown? You think we should do a 33-worder about it? Get people all riled up? Mmmmm. Could turn into a horror story. 🙂 Thanks for linking up, Guap. Our linkz look better with you in them.

The lost contact lens is one of the commonaities of a few generations before this Lasik and disposable-extended-contact bhusiness.
Kids today never had it so easy.
Ha! I’m afraid of the image that would go with gov’t shutdown!

I wear glasses just about all the time now, partly because of the constant “lens popping out of the eye”.

This piece can also be easily edited for lack of food, beer, wine, what have you.
I once rinsed a contact lens with beer.
Sadly, that is not the stupidest thing I’ve ever done.

I unleashed one of those blood curdling screams the other morning when I thought I had dropped my lens on the floor. The only thing that gets me worse than that is when I can’t find my wallet, or if I misplace my cell phone (I’m usually looking for it AS I talk on it….pathetic).
Nicely done Tri-athlon.

The only thing that upset me about not using contacts was not being able to jsut put on sunglasses.
Now I just where my contacts when I’m diving or climbing or something like that.

That would really suck to have two different sized contact lenses. This is what I imagine lurks at the bottom of a port-a-jon tank.

My eyes have have slightly different prescriptions, so different sized eyes would make it a little easier.
And if your last observation is correct, I’ll just be blind, thanks.
