  4. Those are both nice renditions, but you’ve indirectly led me to my new favorite. After the Fitzgerald/Armstrong one ended, the links to related YouTube videos came up, and one was the same song performed by Nora Jones and Willie Nelson. I really like them, and their version of this song is remarkable.

Merry Christmas to you, Guapo (whether you celebrate the holiday or not), and to all Guapolites. Guapolians? Guapophiles? Whatever.

    • Thank you, Brian. I’ll probably spend the rest of my day going though those videos.
And to you and yours, the merriest of Christmases, and every day after!

    • Will Ferrell & Zooey Deschanel. When else will you EVER hear them sing together again?

      • Old Dog, I love that scene from “Elf.” Nothing better than a girl named Jovie singing Christmas songs in the shower, unaware that her solo is about to turn into a duet.

Some of my friends feel that Zooey should never sing, but I happen to think she has a nice voice, though I’ll admit her vocal range is pretty limited. Her alto pitch (and the same deadpan delivery she applies to her spoken lines) work really well in certain songs, including “Baby It’s Cold.”

  6. Thanks for the Louis Jordan gift … he’s a classic for an era that has past.

Meanwhile, you know I like Wizards in Winter … so here’s the version for your readers that I used. Merry Christmas!

    • Your version is also fantastic – don’t know why it didn’t occur to me to link back to you. But the Christmas light sync is pretty cool.
Thanks for coming by, aFrankAngle. Wishing nothing but the best for you and yours.

  7. Oh such fun as usual! I went shopping today 😮 even though I swore to all that is whatever it is I wouldn’t! I came home ready to …well not feeling very festive lol…I feel better now – little music, a good laugh – The Muppets, My problem at the moment is the poll….I am going to have to think about it – oh wait! Duh I’m not putting out cookies, I’ll give him Cheese!! I heard he likes it – maybe a little rum spiked eggnog will help. We always leave out carrots for the reindeer – they have to have the tops on them, damn reindeer, so I had to buy organic, Isn’t today Festivus? Well cheers! on this holiday for the rest of us…(I’m not clear on who is US but hey after Christmas shopping on the 23rd I’m not really that picky)
    🙂 Peace

  12. Love Baby it’s Cold Outside! Just about pee’d my pants laughing at “Santa Who? I’m not Christian.” Bwahahahahahaaha. My grandma was so cute trying to explain to us cousins the purpose of some of her portraits of the baby Jesus, wise men, Mary, Joseph, and Santa kneeling in the manger. Ha. 🙂

  13. I have a three year old niece, and we left the standard cookies, egg nog, and reindeer food. Which is some sort of oatmeal looking stuff she got from a local museum. She dumped it all in the same place in the yard so the next morning we had to disperse it better in case she noticed.
